TRAINING FOR SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERS ON INQUIRY BASED LEARNING IN MATHEMATICS AND SCIENCE AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL

 THEME:

Enhancing effective learner involvement through inquiry based learning

TARGET PARTICIPANTS

Mathematics and Science Teachers with 14-20 Years of Teaching Experience

GOAL:

The goal of the module is to enhance your skills in the use of Inquiry-Based Learning and Peer Lesson Evaluation in teaching and learning of mathematics and science.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

By the end of the course participants are to:

  1. Share experiences on implementation of county INSET (2016),
  2. Share experiences on implementation of school-based lesson study and ICT integration in teaching and learning,
  3. Enhance the ability of participants to practice ASEI-PDSI through Inquiry Based Learning (IBL) and
  4. Enhance participants’ skills in peer lesson observation and post lesson discussion.

 

LEARNING OUTCOME

Upon completion of the Module, one is expected to be able to use Inquiry-Based Learning in the teaching and learning of mathematics and science.
