This issue highlights CEMASTEAโ€™s commitment to strengthening STEM education through research, innovation, teacher capacity development and strategic partnerships.

This edition presents findings from CEMASTEAโ€™s baseline study on STEM pathway implementation. The results are encouraging: 95.7 percent of learners intend to pursue STEM-related careers after Senior School, while 94.3 percent indicated that practical activities improve their understanding of STEM concepts. This strong interest provides a firm foundation for developing the innovative and technically skilled workforce envisioned in Kenyaโ€™s development agenda.

This Newsletter, among other issues, celebrates collaboration and innovation across Africa. The International Webinar on Competency-Based, Innovation and Industry-Aligned STEMI Education brought together participants from 14 African countries to explore stronger education-industry partnerships, maker spaces and emerging technologies. Kenyaโ€™s best-ever performance at the Pan African Mathematical Olympiad further demonstrates the potential of sustained mentorship and institutional collaboration.

We invite you to read, reflect and engage with the experiences shared in this edition.
