Mrs. NCHABIRA LYDIA MURIITHI

Deputy Director

 

Nchabira Lydia Muriithi is the Deputy Director CEMASTEA. She has extensive experience in the education sector where she started as a secondary school teacher, raising to the level of Head of Department Guidance and Counselling.

In the year 2003, she joined the then SMASSE INSET Unit as National Trainer (Biology) where she trained Mathematics and Science teachers from Kenya and several African Countries on Pedagogy. In relation to this Lydia Muriithi has travelled and carried out Education related activities in countries such as Angola, Zambia, Uganda, Tanzania. Subsequently she has been trained on various aspects of training in many countries such as the Philippines. Malaysia  and Japan.

She has held a number of other senior management positions in a career spanning approximately 29 years. She was the Acting Deputy Director CEMASTEA   from   2012 to 2013, after which she was the Coordinator Support Services in the same institution.

 Lydia Muriithi has a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Kenya Methodist University and   a Bachelor of Education degree (Science) from Kenyatta University.

She has extensive training in educational management and leadership skills in Kenya, such as Corporate Governance from Centre for Corporate Governance, Strategic Leadership Development Programme from   Kenya School of Government and Certified ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor by Kenya Bureau of Standards.
