Dr. Pius Mutisya, OGW

Dr. Pius Mutisya, OGW, is currently the Chairman of Centre for Mathematics, Science and Technology Education in Africa (CEMASTEA). He is a holder of a PhD in Epidemiology/Public Health, Masters in Education (Leadership and policy) and Masters in Science and a Bachelor of Education, Science. He has over 34 years of progressive work experience in or with educational institutions, educational administrations, examinations and Boards of Management of Government Institutions.

In addition to his current position as Chairman, Dr. Pius Mutisya, OGW has served in various senior leadership/management positions including being the Secretary, Boards of Governors in senior Kenyan Educational Institutions, member, KNEC Council, NACADA, Sports Kenya, Athletics Kenya, and National Youth Council. He has been the Director, Education Standards Council, Director Quality Assurance and Standards, MOE and Director, Field coordination and services, MOE where he was in charge of Regional Directors of Education and County Directors of education. Dr. Mutisya was awarded the Order of Grand Warrior of Kenya (OGW) in 2018.
